Description of HDPE Socket Fusion Fittings
Heat fusion is based on heating two surfaces to a specified temperature and then applying enough force to cause the materials to flow and mix, thereby fusing them together. When welded according to the manufacturer’s recommended procedures and cooled to near ambient temperature, the joint will become strong in tension and compression as the pipe itself.
HDPE socket fusion fittings are a type of heat fusion connection, mainly used for small-diameter HDPE pipes of DN20-110mm. The pipe form can be a straight pipe or a coil. The diameter of the PE socket fittings is slightly larger than that of the PE pipe. Use a special socket welding machine, select a die head of the corresponding diameter, and after hot-melting the PE socket fittings and the PE pipe, insert the PE pipe into the fittings to complete the hot-melt connection.

Operation Steps for HDPE Socket Fusion Fittings Installation
Step 1: Prepare a socket fusion welding machine and a die head of the corresponding diameter, and set the heating temperature to 260 degrees Celsius.
Step 2: Mark the insertion depth
Step 3: Cut and clean the surface and inside of the pipe.
Step 4: If the pipe wall thickness is less than 3mm, a reinforcing rib needs to be inserted inside the pipe mouth. See the specific requirements of the pipe supplier.
Step 5: Insert the cleaned pipe into the die for heating.
Step 6: Insert the heated pipe into the pipe fitting and hot melt it.
