HDPE irrigation pipes are designed to operate at a nominal pressure (PN) of 4 bars, which is standard for irrigation systems, although they are capable of withstanding significantly higher pressures.
When utilized as the main pipeline for long-distance water transportation, key considerations include the water source, destination, and transportation system. Ponds, reservoirs, or lakes are typically preferred as water sources due to their ability to consistently retain the necessary water volume, unlike rivers, which can have unpredictable flows during rainy seasons and droughts. Inconsistent water supply can adversely affect crops without proper irrigation systems.
The diameter of polyethylene (PE) pipes used for branch lines in irrigation systems generally ranges from 20mm to 160mm, with pressure ratings from 1 bar to 16 bars. The specifications for main pipelines depend on specific conditions and should be referenced in the polyethylene water pipe specifications.
A comprehensive range of PE irrigation pipes can be offered, available in coils of 100m or 500m, and lengths of 5.8m or 11.8m per piece.
