It has the characteristics of a simple structure, small volume and small resistance loss. The working principle of the butterfly check valve is relatively simple. When the medium flows in the normal direction, the medium pressure pushes the valve disc to open, allowing the medium to pass smoothly; when the medium flows counter currently, the valve disc automatically closes under the action of the medium pressure and its own weight. The disc of the butterfly check valve is disc-shaped and opens and closes by rotating around the axis. The connection method often adopts the clamping type, that is, the valve body is directly sandwiched between two flanges, which is easy and quick to install. Due to the streamlined design of its internal channel, butterfly check valves have relatively small fluid resistance and are suitable for large-diameter applications with low flow rates and infrequent changes in flow.

The installation position of butterfly check valve is generally required to be on horizontal pipelines, but it can also be installed on vertical or inclined pipelines according to actual needs. When installing, pay attention to the direction of medium flow and the direction of the arrow on the valve body. In terms of maintenance, it is necessary to regularly check the sealing performance and opening and closing flexibility of the butterfly check valve, and promptly clean the dirt and impurities inside the valve to ensure its normal operation.
