Description of HDPE High Density Polyethylene Sheet

PE rod, namely polyethylene rod, is a rod-shaped plastic product made of high density polyethylene (HDPE) material.

Advantages of HDPE High Density Polyethylene Sheet

1.Corrosion resistance: It has good tolerance to most chemical substances, including acid, alkali and salt solutions. In the chemical industry, it can be used to manufacture parts of equipment such as storage tanks, pipelines and valves, and can effectively resist chemical corrosion.
2.Low friction coefficient: The surface is smooth and the friction coefficient is low, with good self-lubricating performance. In the mechanical field, it can be used to make parts such as bearings, sliders and guides to reduce friction and wear between moving parts.
3.Electrical insulation: It has good electrical insulation performance and can be used to manufacture electrical insulation materials such as the insulation layer of wires and cables and the casing of electrical equipment.
4.Low temperature resistance: It can still maintain good flexibility and strength in low temperature environments and is not easily brittle. It is suitable for outdoor facilities in cold regions and industrial applications in low temperature environments.
5.Light weight: It has a small density and is light in weight, which is convenient for handling and installation. In some occasions where weight is required, such as in the aerospace and shipping fields, PE rods have certain advantages.
6.Production process:
(1) Extrusion molding: This is the most common process for producing HDPE rods. After heating and melting HDPE resin in an extruder, the rod is formed by extruding through a specific mold. During the extrusion process, the diameter, length and other dimensions of the rod can be controlled by adjusting the process parameters of the extruder (such as temperature, pressure, screw speed, etc.).
(2) Injection molding: For some HDPE rods with special shapes or high dimensional accuracy requirements, injection molding process can be used. After heating HDPE resin to a molten state, it is injected into the mold cavity. After cooling and solidifying, the rod is obtained.
