Description of HDPE High Density Polyethylene Sheet
1.Extrusion molding: This is the most common process for producing HDPE sheets. After heating and melting HDPE resin in an extruder, the sheet is formed by extruding through a specific mold. During the extrusion process, the thickness, width and other dimensions of the sheet can be controlled by adjusting the process parameters of the extruder (such as temperature, pressure, screw speed, etc.).
2.Injection molding (for some HDPE products with specific shapes): After heating HDPE resin to a molten state, it is injected into the mold cavity under high pressure. After cooling and solidifying, the product is obtained. This process is suitable for producing HDPE parts with complex shapes and high dimensional accuracy requirements, but the production efficiency for large-area flat plates is relatively low.

1.Mechanical properties
High strength: It has relatively high tensile strength, bending strength and impact strength, which enables it to withstand certain external forces without being easily deformed or damaged.

2.Thermal properties
Heat resistance: The heat-resistant temperature of HDPE sheet is relatively high and can be used in a certain high-temperature environment, but it will soften when the temperature is too high. Generally, the operating temperature is around 100 °C.
Cold resistance: It has good cold resistance and can still maintain good flexibility in low-temperature environments and will not be easily embrittled.
3.Chemical properties
Corrosion resistance: It has good tolerance to various chemical substances, such as acid, alkali, salt solutions, etc. It is also relatively stable in most organic solvents and is not easily eroded by chemical media.
Aging resistance: It has good weather resistance and anti-aging ability. Under the influence of long-term ultraviolet radiation and environmental factors, it can still maintain its performance.
4.Other properties
Low density: Although it is called high density polyethylene, its density is still relatively low compared to other materials. This makes it lightweight and convenient for transportation and installation.
Electrical insulation: It has good electrical insulation performance and can be used in the field of electrical insulation.

    This product flyer is intended for reference purposes.  It should not be used in place of the advice from a licensed Professional Engineer.  Nominal pressure (PN) is based on C = 1,25 and an operating temperature of 20°C.  Weight is calculated using DN and Minimum wall plus 6% for use in estimating fluid flow. Actual ID will vary.
